I was inspired to begin painting deserts after a series from BBC Earth all about the largest deserts on the planet. Here, layers of red, yellow and orange form sand dunes that radiate heat, even as the colors and forms remind us of our own bodies. Our human vulnerabilities are not so different from the world around us.
Original artwork, acrylic paint on archival cotton rag cold-press watercolor paper.
This piece measures 24" x 18" with its frame, arrives ready to hang with wall mounts.
